Sol Art Pewter

Shop 693 · Ground Level · Watershed

These contemporary and African-inspired pewter collectibles are hand-made. New designs are currently being developed. All the pewter-ware is made from 100% lead-free pewter passed by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). That means these products can be used to serve food. All products are manufactured locally using traditional techniques. The home-ware consists of an array of unique items including salad sets, sugar spoons, butter knives, cheese knives, ornaments, necklaces and candle holders. When Sol and Arlene Solomon started this business in 1996, Sol was a manufacturing jeweller. The demand for these pewter products grew and today Sol Art Pewter is a thriving business, which is run by their son, Alain, and which also employs several local people. Bespoke designs can be made on request, and products can be shipped to customers anywhere. These high-quality items make memorable gifts, and are popular among both locals and visitors.
