Nondyebo Art specialises in beautifully designed, high quality, individually hand-painted linens, which are made by women from the township of Masiphumelele, which is situated between Fish Hoek and Kommetjie. The products, all of which are machine washable, include table cloths in a variety of sizes, placemats, serviettes, runners, pillow covers, aprons and dish towels. Nondyebo Art products have been sold at the Waterfront since 1996 and has, over the years, built up a high reputation. Nondyebo Sulani is a Xhosa-speaking woman who moved from the Eastern Cape to Masiphumelele as a teenager 25 years ago. She started her own business, initially in a shack in that township. She now has a house with a workshop for cutting, painting and stitching the items. The mother of three children, she supports herself, family and her several employees by means of Nondyebo Art products.
